Sevilla vs. Real Madrid To stop Tampa Bay's comeback attempt, Courtois, Rudiger, Tchouameni, Lucas Vazquez, Camavinga, and BeDaRon Bland took the ball away from Rachaad White.
The discussion of Mike McCarthy's tenure as the Dallas Cowboys' head coach took a turn for the worse when the team's record dropped to 3-7 this season. The resignation of McCarthy appeared to be inevitable.
Over the last five weeks, a lot has changed. Since Week 9, the Cowboys, who have been without quarterback Dak Prescott, have been more dynamic. Prescott's replacement, Cooper Rush, is performing admirably. The Cowboys have performed as the team that was anticipated before the season began. Additionally, McCarthy may be salvaging his job, which is quite amazing given where he was a little
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who appeared to be coasting toward an NFC South championship and had a string of impressive victories on their record, were defeated by the Cowboys 26–24 on Sunday night. When the Bucs rallied late in the game, Dallas held on after outplaying Tampa Bay for the majority of the contest. The Cowboys won because of a fumble with 1:26 remaining when Dallas cornerback DaRon Bland stole the ball from Buccaneers running back Rachaad White just before White went down. Although it's not terrific, the Cowboys' victory brought their record up to 7-8, which is far better than where they were in late November.
The cowboys are having a great time.
It won't be well received if the Cowboys choose to extend McCarthy. Following each postseason setback, McCarthy has been pushed out by the Cowboys' reactionary fan base. There will be a lot of criticism for keeping him on board after the Cowboys' playoff prospects were all but gone due of a strong finish.
However, McCarthy has recently received vocal support from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, and the victory over the Bucs won't stop him. McCarthy's contract expires at the end of the season, which puts him in a unique situation. The Cowboys would have to sign him to a new contract and McCarthy would have to want to come back, so it's not just a question of them not dismissing him. However, he has made it possible for it to happen. It would have been absurd to even consider that idea when the Cowboys were 3-7 and appeared to be headed for at least 11 or 12 losses.
When it comes to McCarthy, Jones has withstood the temptation to succumb to overreaction and may do so once again. McCarthy's record as the Cowboys' coach is 49-33. When he was with the Packers, he won a Super Bowl ring and had a career winning percentage above 60. Despite all of the criticism he receives, McCarthy has a solid record. Additionally, he looks terrific with the Cowboys' recent success.
The Cowboys' comeback has been fueled by Rush's strong play and a defense that significantly improved once Micah Parsons returned from injury. Against the Buccaneers, Rush had 226 yards and a touchdown in the first half. Dallas led 23–14 at the half after scoring the game’s opening 10 points.
