Are you trying to find Tuesday's Wordle answer, hints, or clues? They are available here:
Christmas is over. There is always a hint of bittersweetness. There is a lot of excitement leading up to Christmas, and then it's done when we open our gifts and enjoy the music. However, we still have New Year's Eve to anticipate!
I offered you a Wordle Wednesday puzzle yesterday, and it was quite challenging! I'll tell you the solution today. The puzzle was as follows:
The Christmas riddle:
Santa is standing at his workshop, his gifts piled high.

Fifty is the answer. I'll just describe the figures, but there's a complex mathematical solution. The first elf can get 28 by taking half of the pile (25), then adding 3. When the second elf adds three to half of what's left (11), the result is 14. 14 + 28 = 42. By taking half of 8—4—and adding 3, the third elf follows suit. 7. 42 + 7 = 49 is that number. We have fifty presents remaining after Santa gets one.
And that's it, everyone! Enjoy the remainder of 2024! Let's now work through this Wordle.

The Answer:
Analysis of Wordle:
I use Wordle Bot to evaluate my guessing game every day. Here is where you can use Wordle Bot to check your Wordles.
Today, my initial assumption proved to be fortunate. FLARE, which I've used several times before, was better than ever today, giving me only five options. I never would have guessed the answer on #2, therefore MAFIA was the best second guess I could have made. It left me with just one option: AFFIX for the victory. It's a difficult Wordle!
Competitive Wordle Score
I receive one point for correctly predicting three, and an additional point for defeating the Bot, who required four attempts today. I get two points!
How to Play Wordle Competitively:
One guess is worth three points, two guesses are worth two points, three guesses are worth one point, four guesses are worth zero points, five guesses are worth -1 point, six guesses are worth -2 point, and missing the wordle is worth three points.
You receive one point if you defeat your opponent. You lose all points if you tie. Additionally, you lose by one point to your opponent. To find your score, add them all up. You can either play for a different score every day or keep a running score every day.
You double your points on Fridays, whether they are favorable or negative.
You can play day-by-day or maintain a running tally. Have fun!
Wordle Etymology for Today
The word "affix" is derived from the Latin affixus, which means "to fasten to" and is the past participle of affigere. This comes from the words figere (which means "to fasten" or "fix") and ad- (which means "to" or "toward"). The sense of attaching or adding anything was retained when the term reached Middle English in the late 15th century.
